Before Nenad Krstic signed with a Russian team, the New Jersey Nets were exploring sign and trade options, and apparently Kyle Lowry was high on their list.
Former Villanova power forward Malik Allen has signed with the Milwaukee Bucks. This is the sixth team the 30 year-old Allen with play for in eight seasons in the NBA. He started his career in Miami and has played for Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, and New Jersey. He has career averages of 5.7 points and 3.2 rebounds.
2009 recruit Isaiah Armwood has committed to attend Villanova. He is a 6'7 small forward/power forward from Montrose Christian in Baltimore, MD. Armwood joins Maalik Wayns as the second commitment for 2009. Transfer Taylor King will also be eligible to play in 2009. Armwood will add some size and athleticism to a guard-heavy team. He has an inside/outside game reminiscent of Curtis Sumpter. It is a good sign to see Jay Wright getting top recruits that aren't guards to commit to Villanova.
