Randy Foye suffered a right ankle sprain in last nights game against the Washington Wizards. He landed awkwardly after jumping up to try to catch a high lob pass from Mike Miller. There is no timetable on how long he will be out yet. Foye had 15 points and 6 assists in the game before the injury. He is averaging 16.9 points and 4.5 assists on the season. At 18-45 and now without their top two scorers, Minnesota is moving into "tank mode" to improve thier lottery position; and therefore, they are unlikely to rush Foye back from the injury.
On the bright side, maybe the injury will give him more time to work on the Randy Foye Foundation. Head over to VUHoops for more info on that.
